Surgery, Rehab & Restart – I’ll Be Back

Sometimes life throws you a curveball – After an accident, two months passed before the surgery. I woke up from the operation with this thing on my arm. Then came two months of immobilization post-op, followed by three weeks of full-time rehab to rebuild full strength. My shoulder fracture is now fixed and feels better than ever. Thank God nothing worse happened, but the journey isn’t over yet. I’m embracing the challenge! It’ll take time to see the deeper purpose, but by October I’ll be back on stage – stronger. In the meantime, I’m staying sharp with visual practice, left-hand tapping, theory – and I managed to film a bunch of exciting video projects just before surgery. For my students: Lessons continue – focusing on play analysis, rhythm, theory, and the bass matrix. Right hand on pause, left hand in charge! Huge thanks to the amazing doctors, my friends, and my wonderful family – and to all of you for the support!
